Familia Cecchin, Carignan
Viticulture: Organic Farming / Natural Wine
Winemaking: Hand harvested, natural yeast fermentation. The wine is matured in 1 year old oak barrels and bottled with very little sulphur.
Medium bodied with bright red and black berries, well integrated tannins and fresh acidity. Lighter in style than most of the reds from this region.
Oscar Alberto now runs this family vineyard after his grand parents founded it in 1959. 100% organic farming with some biodynamic practices. Soils are mainly clay and cultivation is still done with horses. Water from the ice-capped Andes mountains irrigates the vineyard. High altitude wines as usual from this region.
