How much does delivery cost?
Delivery is free for orders over £30.
For smaller orders, there’s a fixed £2.50 delivery charge.
When do you deliver?
We deliver every Friday between 10am-8pm, but those you can choose a free 2-hour time slot* so you won’t need to wait around all day.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver to the following postcodes:
BS1, BS2, BS3, BS4, BS5, BS6, BS7, BS8, BS9, BS10, BS11, BS13, BS14, BS15, BS16, BS20, BS21, BS25, BS30, BS31, BS32, BS34, BS35, BS36, BS37, BS39, BS40, BS41, BS48, BS49
It shouldn't be possible to place an order from further away. But if one does slip through, please note that we'll have to cancel the order and issue a refund.
If you’re outside our delivery radius, you can always collect your order for free instead - just choose the pick-up option at checkout.
Will you let me know when the driver is close?
We’ll send you a text on the morning of your delivery when to expect your delivery driver. We’ll send you another when the driver is half an hour away.
What happens if I'm not in for my delivery?
Because you can choose a delivery window and we let you know when your driver’s on the way, this doesn’t happen too often. But if you’re not in, our driver will give you a call to see what works for you, and they’ll usually be happy to leave your order in a safe place.
However, this might not be possible for some chilled or frozen goods, and we’re not legally allowed to do this if you’ve ordered alcohol. We will always try to reschedule an alcohol delivery where we can, but we can’t guarantee that this will be possible if you’re not in for your delivery the first time.
Is there a minimum order value?
Nope, you can buy as much or as little as you want. And that goes for each individual producer, not just the whole order. You can buy a single item from 20 different producers, and that’s absolutely fine by us.
Do I need to make an account?
You don’t need to make an account, but the option is there if you want to get weekly reminders, hear about the newest products on Bristol Pantry, and be able to check out faster in future.
Why do I need to order by 4pm on Wednesday?
We sell food & drink from over 100 different producers, and lots of it is fresh food that can’t be stored for long. That means we need to give our producers time to actually create/bake/make all of the wonderful products each week, ready for us to package it up and send it out to you on Friday.
Not only does this ensure products are as fresh as possible when you receive them, but it also allows us to minimise food waste as products are made to order as far as possible.
Can I change my order?
Yep! You’ll get an order confirmation email when you’ve paid, and that will contain a link to edit your order.
However, you’ll need to make any changes before 4pm on a Wednesday. After that, it’s too late!
Do I need ID to buy alcohol?
The same rules that apply to shops also apply to us, so we operate a Challenge 25 policy.
You won’t need to provide ID to place your order, but our delivery driver may ask to see ID upon delivery if you’ve ordered alcohol and they believe you could be under 25.
What should I do if there's a problem with my order?
The vast majority of orders go through seamlessly, but mistakes do happen. If something’s gone wrong, please let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 0117 325 8535, and we’ll get back to you asap.
Our Food & Drink
Do you have a free-from section?
Absolutely! Take a look at our free-from delights below:
Is everything made in Bristol?
Our main priority is stocking high quality food & drink from small, independent producers. We'll always go local when we can and have a wide array of the freshest products in Bristol available, but we also have some exciting products from small producers further afield.
Why isn't my favourite local producer on here?
Maybe we just haven’t heard of them yet! If you know a great local producer you’d love to see on Bristol Pantry, please let us know. We’re always on the lookout for exciting new producers!
About Bristol Pantry
Why did you start Bristol Pantry?
Bristol Pantry was born out of Wriggle, an app for discovering (and getting discounts at) amazing independent restaurants, bars and cafes. When lockdown hit, we started looking for other ways to support local independents, and it wasn’t long before we realised we all had the same problem.
We wanted to support local businesses, but we couldn’t go to all the different small shops in person. And buying online often came with high minimum order values and pricey delivery charges, which were adding up quickly.
So we created Bristol Pantry. High quality food & drink from the best local independents, all in one place with no minimum order value, and all packaged together into a single free delivery.
Why should I buy from Bristol Pantry rather than direct from the producer?
We make the whole process much easier, especially if you want to buy from several different producers.
And they’ll be happy either way. We take a fee on any products sold through Bristol Pantry to cover our own costs, but that’s offset by the reduced costs for a producer to deal with a single bulk order rather than dozens of individual customers.
*Available to customers with specific BS postcodes. Further details available at: https://bristolpantry.com/pages/delivery
